Eagle Bancorp Montana, Inc.
Eagle Bancorp Montana hopes to swoop down on every potential account holder in its home state. The holding company owns American Federal Savings Bank, a thrift that serves businesses and residents of southwestern Montana through six branches and seven ATMs. American Federal primarily writes mortgages on one- to four-family residences (these comprise almost half of its loan book); the rest of its portfolio consists of  commercial mortgages (25%), home equity (about 20%), and consumer, business, and construction loans. The bank's deposit products include checking, money market, and savings accounts; CDs; IRAs; and Visa debit cards. Eagle Bancorp Montana is buying seven branches from Sterling Financial.
